EcomExit HQ ("we", "us") buys online businesses. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
What we collect
- Business contact details. The name, business email address and company or brand name of people who own or run online stores. We get these from publicly available business sources, such as brand websites, marketplace storefronts and business directories.
- Information you send us. Anything you include when you email us or reply to our messages, such as sales figures, store links or documents about your business.
- Basic website data. Our hosting provider may record standard technical information, such as IP address and browser type, when you visit this site. We don't use advertising trackers.
How we use it
- To contact business owners about a possible acquisition of their business.
- To evaluate a business you've told us about and to make and carry out an offer.
- To keep a record of people who have asked us not to contact them, so we don't contact them again.
Sharing
We don't sell, rent or trade your information. We share it only with service providers who help us run our business, such as our email and hosting providers, and with professional advisers involved in a specific transaction, such as lawyers or escrow agents, when you're part of that transaction. We may also disclose information if the law requires it.
How long we keep it
We keep contact details while they're useful for possible acquisitions. Information about a business you've shared with us is kept for as long as needed to evaluate or complete a deal and meet legal obligations. If you unsubscribe, we keep only your email address on a do-not-contact list.
Your choices
- Stop our emails. Use the unsubscribe link in any email, visit our unsubscribe page, or reply with "unsubscribe".
- Access or delete your information. Email us and we'll tell you what we hold about you, or delete it, except for the do-not-contact record that keeps us from emailing you again.
Security
We use reasonable measures to protect the information we hold. No method of sending or storing data is completely secure, so please don't email passwords or account login details.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
